COMMODORE CUP ENDURANCE CO-DRIVE

This weekend sees Darren join forces with with Adam Llyod at Winton Raceway to contest for the Ashley Cooper Memorial Trophy.

The endurance race will remember Ashley who raced in the Commodore cup before progressing to the Fujitsu Supercar Series.

Other co-drivers for the weekend are Steve Owen, Shane Price, Brett Holdsworth and Ryan McLeod joining forces just to name a few.

It will be very different to what we are used to, and Darren is yet to turn a lap in the Commodore but it is a challenge that Darren is looking forward to.

SUCCESS AT ORAN PARK SHORT CIRCUT

Using the engine that he has built to run in the Fujitsu series Darren blitzed qualifying with a 41.09 in his AU Falcon.

Taking two race wins in the scratch races, two seconds in the handicap races and the overall round win Darren was pleased with the outcome of the weekend and the performance of the engine and the AU.

DSR Team Looking forward to Oran Park

Round two at Oran Park this Friday and Saturday sees the Independent Race Series team with the Supertrucks for their last ever race at OP. It has attracted some good entries including the likes of the 2007 Drift Series Champion Robbie Boulger and the Ex Supercar Great Gary Wilmington. Although it has been a hectic six weeks for Darren preparing for Oran Park with extensive work being done on the cars and transporter we are all really looking forward to the weekend and hope to come away with a great result.

SAILLARD BLITZS OPENING ROUND

A fantastic weekend was had by all that attended the Opening round of the Independent Race Series at Morgan Park Raceway.
After showing plenty of speed in practice Saturday's qualifying saw Darren secure himself pole position with a time of 1:04.4 seconds ahead of his rivals.
Reverse handicaps in race two and three meant starting at the back of the pack and having to work his way through the field earning him second place on both occasions and the BA in race two ending up a bit worse for ware.
The decision to run on old tyres didn't effect the outcome of the weekend either, on what has been said to be a very exciting yet challenging track with another two trophies to add to the collection first over all Touring Car Challenge and first in V8 Supercar class.
DSR team would like to thank Morgan Park and its staff for great hospitality.
Round two at Oran park May 15-16 combining with the last ever truck race is something we are all looking forward to.
