A fantastic weekend was had by all that attended the Opening round of the Independent Race Series at Morgan Park Raceway.
After showing plenty of speed in practice Saturday's qualifying saw Darren secure himself pole position with a time of 1:04.4 seconds ahead of his rivals.
Reverse handicaps in race two and three meant starting at the back of the pack and having to work his way through the field earning him second place on both occasions and the BA in race two ending up a bit worse for ware.
The decision to run on old tyres didn't effect the outcome of the weekend either, on what has been said to be a very exciting yet challenging track with another two trophies to add to the collection first over all Touring Car Challenge and first in V8 Supercar class.
DSR team would like to thank Morgan Park and its staff for great hospitality.
Round two at Oran park May 15-16 combining with the last ever truck race is something we are all looking forward to.
